In a recent Cabinet meeting, the government of Telangana decided to extend a sum of Rs 1 lakh as financial aid to eligible members of BC castes involved in hereditary professions. To ensure the smooth implementation of this program, the Chief Minister has established a Cabinet sub-committee. This committee’s primary responsibility is to develop comprehensive guidelines for distributing the Rs 1 lakh financial assistance to various BC groups, such as Vishwabrahmins, Nayi Brahmins, Rajaka, Medara, and others. The sub-committee will also make recommendations to the government regarding the specific components of the scheme, including the subsidy and loan aspects.
